JERUSALEM - Pea Gibbons
Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem is a raucous, provocative play focusing on Johnny “Rooster” Byron (Stuart Goodwin). Johnny likes to tells tales, get drunk, do drugs, and avoid the authorities. The play opens on the morning of the local county fair, and we discover that Johnny Byron is both the most and least popular man in town. Johnny is still "hosting" a number of the youngsters, at his caravan, following the previous nights celebration. Two of the stragglers still at Johnny's are Pea, a 16 year villager would rather hangout at Roosters than go home, and her best friend Tanya. Mark Rylance is reviving his role of Rooster in the West End 2022.
Charlotte Wallis played the part of Pea Gibbons. Jerusalem was directed by Emily Armstrong.
